Authorities in Montville have confirmed the identity of a man who died after his vehicle left Route 32 and collided with a building earlier this month. The victim was 66-year-old Alfred J. Krajewski of Montville.

The Montville Police Department reported that the single-vehicle accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on December 18 as Krajewski was driving south in a 2017 Toyota Yaris. For reasons that remain under investigation, the car veered to the right, striking a guardrail before crashing into a rock wall, a traffic signal post, a building, and a utility pole.

Krajewski was taken to Backus Hospital in Norwich but was later pronounced dead. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly collision.
