Fatal Granger Township car crash death of Ricardo H. Rivera – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed that 57-year-old Ricardo H. Rivera of Cleveland was killed Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Granger Township, Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that Rivera was driving a black 2008 Ford F-150 westbound on Ledge Road when the truck veered off the roadway, collided with a guardrail, and overturned into an embankment. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medina County Coroner’s Office.

A passenger in the vehicle, 42-year-old Staci M. Schlegel, also of Cleveland, was taken by emergency services to Metro Health Cleveland Main Campus for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, Hinckley Township Fire and Police Departments, Bath Township Fire Department, Granger Township Fire Department, and Jon’s Towing. Officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
