Fatal Exeter, Rhode Island ATV crash death of Michael Pelletier – Obituary
Michael Pelletier, a 33-year-old man from Exeter, Rhode Island, died after suffering severe injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident that occurred late December. Michael Pelletier was identified by Rhode Island State Police as the victim who succumbed to his injuries several days after the crash.
State police said the incident happened around 5:24 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, along Liberty Church Road. Pelletier was riding an ATV as part of a group of three operators traveling one behind the other.
Investigators reported that when the lead ATV slowed near the area of 87 Liberty Church Road, Pelletier’s ATV collided with it from the rear. The impact caused Pelletier and his passenger, also 33 years old, to be thrown from the vehicle.
Both Pelletier and the passenger were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Pelletier died from his injuries on Tuesday, December 30.
Police noted that both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The incident remains documented by Rhode Island State Police as part of their ongoing traffic safety records.
