Penny Renee Keys dies in fatal White Oak, Texas stabbing

Fatal White Oak stabbing death of Penny Renee Keys – Obituary

Penny Renee Keys, 58, has been identified as the victim who was fatally stabbed at her White Oak residence, according to the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded Wednesday to a report of a homicide on Jamerison Road, where they found Keys outside her home suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Investigators collected evidence at the scene that led them to identify Keys’ son, Zachary Keys, as the suspect. Authorities issued a murder warrant for his arrest.

Zachary Keys and his vehicle were later located in Panola County, where he was taken into custody without incident. He is currently held in the Panola County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The investigation into the fatal stabbing remains ongoing.
