Fatal Queens, N.Y. scooter crash death of Kevin Loadholt – Obituary

A 40-year-old man, Kevin Loadholt of Queens, tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident late Monday night in Hollis. The incident occurred on December 29 at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of 204th Street and Jamaica Avenue, within the 103rd Precinct.

Authorities from the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad revealed that Loadholt was riding a 2024 Zhejiang Jiajue gas-powered scooter eastbound on Jamaica Avenue. As he approached the intersection, a 2021 Honda HR-V, driven by a 23-year-old woman, made a left turn from northbound 204th Street onto westbound Jamaica Avenue. The scooter collided with the Honda and then crashed into a fire hydrant.

Emergency personnel rushed Loadholt to North Shore University Hospital, where he was declared dead. The driver of the Honda stayed at the scene, and no arrests have been made. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
