The man, identified as 62-year-old Phillip Wayne Morris of Morgantown, is believed to have sought shelter at the church during a severe weather event on December 28.

Authorities speculate that Morris may have suffered a heart attack related to his overall health conditions, though the exact cause of death remains under investigation.
