Fatal Acadia Parish, Louisiana car crash death of David Doucet – Obituary

David Doucet, 62, of Sulphur, Louisiana, was killed in a head-on collision on Louisiana Highway 190 near Bryan Perrodin Loop on January 1 around 7 p.m. Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to the crash, which involved two vehicles.

Preliminary reports indicate that Doucet was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra westbound in the eastbound lanes when it collided with a 2015 GMC Canyon traveling east. Doucet was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the GMC suffered serious injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Toxicology samples were collected from both drivers and sent for analysis. Authorities said the crash remains under investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
