Fatal Yazoo County shooting death of Cornelius Stuckey – Obituary

Cornelius Stuckey, 33, lost his life Friday afternoon following a shooting on Longwood Cove in Yazoo County. Authorities reported that the sheriff’s department received an emergency call around 12:05 p.m. on Jan. 3, prompting deputies to rush to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered Stuckey suffering from gunshot injuries and provided life-saving efforts until Pafford Emergency Services took over.

Stuckey was then transported to Baptist Hospital in Yazoo City, where he was pronounced dead shortly after reaching the facility. The sheriff’s office confirmed that two men have turned themselves in and are currently held at the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility in connection with the incident. The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
