D’Shaun Holden, 35, of Adelanto, California, was killed early Sunday morning during a shooting outside a nightclub in Victorville, authorities confirmed. The deadly incident occurred just after 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 28 at Cosmos Taverna, a sports bar and nightclub located roughly 85 miles northeast of Los Angeles.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the scene after reports of gunfire in the parking lot, where an estimated 50 to 100 people had gathered. Upon arrival, deputies located two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Holden was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, a 35-year-old man whose name has not been released, was transported to a hospital and treated for gunshot injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators said the suspect fled before law enforcement arrived, and no arrests have been announced. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear as detectives continue their investigation.

Family members told local media that Holden was a devoted father of five. He is also survived by his fiancée, parents, and siblings, who are now mourning his sudden and tragic loss.
