Fatal Caddo County, Oklahoma car crash death of Eric D. Turpin – Obituary

Eric D. Turpin, 32, of Cyril, Oklahoma, died following a single-vehicle crash in Caddo County after reportedly becoming fatigued from working overnight, according to state troopers.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 8:23 a.m. Saturday along County Road 1440. Investigators determined that Turpin’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a barbed wire fence.

Authorities said Turpin overcorrected after leaving the road, which caused the vehicle to roll multiple times. The number of rollovers has not yet been determined.

Troopers reported that Turpin was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.

Emergency responders pronounced Turpin dead at the scene at approximately 8:35 a.m. The crash remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
