Fatal Hidalgo County auto-pedestrian crash death of Raul Palomin – Obituary

Raul Palomin, 48, of Edcouch, lost his life Saturday after unexpectedly running into traffic, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 6:21 p.m. on FM 1015, just north of Mile 13 ½ N Road near Weslaco. DPS said preliminary findings show that a gray 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a man traveling northbound, struck Palomin after he ran west into the vehicle’s path. The impact occurred near the Silverado’s front right-side mirror.

The driver stopped immediately to provide assistance, and officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic collision.
