Fatal Middlebury shooting death of Lenard Owens – Obituary

Lenard Owens, 29, of Akron, was killed in a shooting on Jan. 4 at a residence in Middlebury, authorities confirmed. Officers found Owens on the front porch of a home in the 1000 block of Elwell Court with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at 10:30 p.m.

Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the cause of death as gunshot wounds to the neck. Akron Police officers recovered several shell casings from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation. Detectives are actively seeking the suspect responsible for the shooting.
