Fatal Bakersfield murder-suicide death of Pedro Juan Rivera Gonzalez and Francis B. Lainez Romero – Obituary

Pedro Juan Rivera Gonzalez, 49, and Francis B. Lainez Romero, 55, both of Bakersfield, were found dead on Christmas night in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide. The pair was discovered at a residence in the 2700 block of Blade Avenue, just east of Bakersfield College, around 10:11 p.m.

Bakersfield Police responded to reports of gunfire at the home and confirmed both individuals had been shot and died from their injuries. The Kern County Coroner’s Office conducted autopsies, but the official cause and manner of death remain pending.
