Fatal Dayton shooting death of Kenneth Bland – Obituary
Kenneth Bland, 44, was killed in a reported shooting in Dayton early last week, authorities confirmed. Police were dispatched shortly before 6 a.m. to an alley behind Illinois Avenue, near Wyoming Street, following reports of gunfire.
A 911 caller told dispatchers they had heard the shots while getting ready for work and saw a gun near Bland. When officers arrived, they found Bland and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Bland’s death.
