Antonio Bosotina, 21, of East Meadow, was killed Tuesday morning following a collision between his motorcycle and a school bus in Hicksville, according to police.

Authorities said the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. along Old Country Road. Bosotina was traveling east on a Kawasaki motorcycle when he struck a Hicksville Public Schools contracted bus that was being driven by a 66-year-old man.

Police reported that nearly 30 students were on board the bus at the time of the collision. None of the students or the bus driver were injured.

Bosotina was transported to a nearby hospital after the crash, where he was later pronounced dead by medical staff.

Officials say the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation as police continue to examine the events leading up to the fatal incident.
