Fatal Bucks County explosion and fire death of Patricia Mero – Obituary
Patricia Mero, a 66-year-old resident of the Bristol Health and Rehab Center, died from injuries linked to an explosion and fire that occurred at the facility late last year. The incident took place on December 23, 2025, leaving multiple individuals affected by the blast.
Following the explosion, Patricia Mero was rushed to the emergency department at St. Mary’s Medical Center, where she was treated for serious injuries caused by the blast. Despite medical care, her condition worsened in the days that followed.
The Bucks County Coroner’s Office was notified by St. Mary’s Medical Center on January 5, 2026, after Patricia Mero was pronounced dead at 10:18 a.m. Her body was later transported to the coroner’s office for further examination.
An autopsy conducted on January 6 determined that Patricia Mero’s cause of death was chest trauma. The manner of death was officially ruled an accident, directly related to injuries sustained during the explosion and fire at the rehabilitation center.
