Justin Dean, a 33-year-old man from Whitewater, was identified as the victim who lost his life in a serious traffic collision east of Beaver Dam, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened Thursday morning along County Highway A near Prospect Road in the Town of Burnett. Investigators said Dean was driving in an erratic manner before his vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a semi-truck head-on.

Dean was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the semi, a 38-year-old man from Burnett, was not injured.

Authorities stated that the circumstances leading up to the crash are still being examined. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine all contributing factors.
