Fatal Pueblo County, Colorado house explosion death of Daniel Dale Conner – Obituary

Daniel Dale Conner, 79, was identified as one of the victims of a devastating house explosion in rural Pueblo County on January 8, 2026. Conner’s body was discovered around 2:40 p.m. at his home near 57th Lane and Cherry Road in Boone.

A woman also died in the explosion, though her identity has not been released. Officials with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control are investigating the cause of the blast and the subsequent fire. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine Conner’s official cause of death.
