Fatal Ulen, Minnesota house fire death of Daryn Waller – Obituary

Daryn Waller, 57, lost his lipfe in a house fire on Friday morning, January 9, 2026, at his home on 160th Avenue North in rural Clay County, Minnesota. Emergency dispatchers reported that Waller was trapped inside the residence and unable to escape. A Clay County deputy attempted to enter the home but was forced to exit due to the smoke and fire. Firefighters arrived shortly after and located Waller in a bedroom, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office are continuing to investigate the cause and circumstances of the fire.
