Fatal Big Spring home shooting death of Phillip Samuel Lozano – Obituary

Phillip Samuel Lozano, 36, was shot and killed Friday night in Big Spring, Texas, after reportedly forcing his way into a private residence while armed. Police said the homeowner, Joel Adrian Florez, 43, confronted Lozano inside the home and fired, fatally striking him.

Lozano was pronounced dead at the scene. Florez was arrested on Saturday and charged with murder, with authorities obtaining a warrant following their investigation. It is not clear if Lozano and Florez were previously acquainted, and the case remains under investigation.
