Fatal Wilkes-Barre shooting death of Bryan Mejia – Obituary
Bryan Mejia, 25, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, was found dead following a shooting on the 400 block of Coal Street on Monday, January 6, 2026.
Authorities discovered Mejia inside a white Honda CR-V near a local gym. A 25-year-old woman was also found with a gunshot wound to her head and was hospitalized. The investigation concluded that Mejia’s death was a suicide. Luzerne County officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
