Fatal Greenwood shooting death of Kuldeep Singh – Obituary

Kuldeep Singh, 37, of Greenwood, was killed during a shooting at a birthday party on the 900 block of Bent Branch Circle on Saturday night, January 11, 2026.

The Johnson County Coroner’s Office confirmed Singh’s identity on Tuesday after notifying his immediate family. He and 38-year-old Virender Singh, also of Greenwood, were both fatally shot following an altercation at the gathering.

Police said the argument escalated when the two men drew firearms and began shooting, striking multiple attendees.

Two other individuals suffered injuries; one was reported in stable condition at Sidney and Lois Eskanazi Hospital, while another sought treatment at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.

Investigators continue to examine the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact the Greenwood Police Department Investigations Division.
