Fatal Springfield, Virginia car crash death of Jane Clayton – Obituary

Jane Clayton, 48, of Alexandria, Virginia, was killed in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Fairfax County Parkway and Huntsman Boulevard on Saturday morning.

According to Fairfax County Police, Clayton was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound when she lost control and crossed into southbound lanes. A southbound 2023 Ford F-150 collided with her vehicle, and a 2025 Honda HR-V then rear-ended the Ford. Clayton was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other drivers escaped without injuries.

Authorities said alcohol is not believed to be a factor, but they are investigating whether speed contributed to the crash. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fairfax County Police Department.
