Fatal South Padre Island shooting death of Deandra Marie Delgadillo – Obituary

Deandra Marie Delgadillo, a resident of San Benito, was found dead Tuesday morning on South Padre Island after being reported missing by her family. Authorities discovered her vehicle on Monday near the end of State Park Road 100, and her body was later located about half a mile north of that point.

According to police, the death involved a gunshot wound to the head, but investigators do not believe any criminal activity was involved. Justice of the Peace Benny Ochoa ordered an autopsy to confirm the cause of death. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Delgadillo’s passing.
