Fatal Harris County shooting death of Christopher and Trinette Lopez – Obituary

Christopher and Trinette Lopez, a married couple, were found fatally shot in their home in west Harris County, Texas, on Monday morning. Authorities confirmed their deaths and identified them following the investigation into the incident.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded just before 6 a.m. to a home on Bent Springs Lane near Clay Road and the Grand Parkway after receiving reports of a shooting. One victim had been shot in the face, while the other suffered two gunshot wounds to the head. Investigators now believe the couple was murdered rather than the result of a murder-suicide.

At the time of the shooting, the couple’s two adult children and their 7-year-old foster child were inside the home. They were awakened by the gunfire but were unharmed. The foster child has since been placed in a safe environment by Child Protective Services. Authorities continue to investigate the crime, interviewing witnesses, and no suspects are currently in custody.
