Leonardo Hernandez, 16, was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in the East Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. Leonardo Hernandez was pronounced dead after sustaining gunshot injuries during the incident.

Dallas police said officers responded around 4:30 p.m. on January 13 to reports of a shooting in the 3100 block of Seevers Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Hernandez suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner confirmed Hernandez’s identity. Police have stated that the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is ongoing, and no suspects or arrests have been announced.
