Barbara Robey dies in fatal Grant County car crash

Fatal Grant County car crash death of Barbara Robey – Obituary

Barbara Robey, 80, of East Dubuque, Illinois, died following a single-vehicle accident on Highway 151 in Grant County, Wisconsin, authorities reported Tuesday. She was a front-seat passenger in the vehicle involved in the crash.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred around 2:54 p.m. in Jamestown Township. A 76-year-old man driving south on Highway 151 just past the Highway 11 overpass lost control of the vehicle. It left the roadway, crossed a ditch, struck a highway sign, and climbed a steep embankment into a wooded area about 40 yards from the road. The vehicle then rolled down into a ravine before coming to a stop.

Both the driver and Robey were transported to a hospital with injuries. Robey later succumbed to her injuries, while the driver’s condition was not disclosed. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
