Greensboro, North Carolina Man Jonathan Huskins Arrested in Greensboro for First-Degree Murder

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Jonathan Huskins, a 38-year-old man, was arrested in Greensboro in connection with the killing of 42-year-old Alexander Reichman, whose death marked the city’s first homicide of 2026.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, Huskins was taken into custody on Tuesday during an investigation at a homeless camp in the 5600 block of Hornaday Road, where officers had been searching for a reported missing person. Authorities say the incident occurred on Monday, when detectives discovered Reichman deceased inside a tent at the camp.

Investigators reported that a witness at the scene described an assault involving Huskins. Police initially detained him on an unrelated warrant, which court records later identified as a probation violation. Those records also indicate Huskins was previously on probation for an assault inflicting serious injury involving the same victim and was under a prior court order prohibiting contact with Reichman.

Huskins was transported to a local detention facility and is currently facing a charge of first-degree murder related to the incident.
