Fatal Madera County U-turn crash death of Lashirah Bullard – Obituary
Lashirah Bullard, a 41-year-old woman from Compton, tragically died early on January 9 in a U-turn collision on Road 28½, north of Harper Boulevard in eastern Madera County.
The crash occurred around 12:15 a.m. when Bullard, driving a 2011 Nissan Altima, made a U-turn from the right shoulder into the path of a southbound 2026 Toyota Corolla driven by a 21-year-old man from Madera.
The collision caused Bullard’s Nissan to continue in a southwesterly direction and come to a stop, blocking the southbound lane, while the Toyota veered into a ditch.
Despite life-saving efforts, Bullard was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle was injured and transported to a hospital, while the driver of the Toyota was not injured.
The crash is under investigation, and authorities are awaiting toxicology results to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
