Fatal Florence County shooting death of Lori Coward – Obituary

Lori Coward, 54, was fatally shot on January 11 in Florence County, South Carolina, while her husband, Marty Dwayne Coward, sustained injuries.

The shooting occurred inside their vehicle, which was stopped on Dupont Drive. Investigators believe Marty shot his wife in the head, causing her death at the scene, before shooting himself. Marty was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Marty Coward has been charged with murder and was booked into the Florence County Detention Center on January 12. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
