Marcel Israel Benavides dies in fatal Amity crash

Fatal Amity crash death of Marcel Israel Benavides – Obituary

Marcel Israel Benavides, 35, of Dayton, Oregon, was killed Tuesday morning in a collision with a semi truck on Highway 154 in Yamhill County. The Oregon State Police reported the crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. near the Amity Road intersection.

Authorities said Benavides, driving a southbound Kia Spectra, crossed the center line for reasons still under investigation and collided head-on with a northbound semi truck. Benavides was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi truck driver was unharmed, and state police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
