Elijah Husemann, 24, of Maquoketa, Iowa, was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on a gravel road west of Maquoketa, authorities confirmed. Husemann was a passenger in the vehicle when it rolled off the road and into a ditch, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Iowa State Patrol reported that two other men from Clinton were injured in the crash, with one airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City for treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident, including factors that may have contributed to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
