Libby Toothaker, 28, of Bangor, died Wednesday after her vehicle collided head-on with a tree near Ollie’s Market at the intersection of Union Street and Stetson Road East in Levant.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash occurred shortly before 4:20 p.m., and first responders transported Toothaker to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
