Fatal Urbana, Illinois shooting death of Benancio Crowley – Obituary

Benancio Crowley, 52, of Champaign, Illinois, was killed early Friday morning in a shooting on the 1200 block of Ellis Drive in Urbana, authorities confirmed. Urbana police responded to the scene at 1:48 a.m. and found Crowley suffering from gunshot injuries. He was transported to a hospital but later died from his wounds.

Officers reported that the shooter remained in the area when they arrived. Urbana police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 217-384-2320 or submit tips through Crime Stoppers at 217-373-8477.
