Deborah J. Dykes, 64, of Waynesboro, Mississippi, died following a crash on January 15, 2026, on Highway 84. The accident occurred around 6:07 a.m. when Dykes’ 2006 Nissan Altima collided with a 2016 Toyota Highlander driven by 40-year-old Mittie J. Jordan, also of Waynesboro, while both vehicles were traveling westbound.

Dykes was taken to a local hospital after the collision, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
