Fatal Strasburg, Colorado shooting death of Luis Angelo Juarez – Obituary
Luis Angelo Juarez, 19, of Commerce City, was killed early Sunday morning, Jan. 15, during a shooting at a home near 96th Avenue and Strasburg Road that also left three others injured.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reported responding to the scene just before 2 a.m., where they found Juarez with fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location, while three additional victims were treated at a nearby hospital for gunshot injuries.
Authorities announced Friday that 17-year-old Carlos Padilla-Garcia has been charged in connection with the shooting. Charges include first-degree murder, three counts of first-degree attempted murder, three counts of first-degree assault, menacing, possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and four counts of crime of violence.
Padilla-Garcia was arrested Wednesday, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 8:30 a.m. in Adams County District Court.
