Fatal Macon, Georgia shooting death of Dantwan Wynes – Obituary

Dantwan Wynes, a 19-year-old man from Macon, Georgia, was killed in a shooting on Friday night, January 16. Authorities confirmed his identity after the shooting occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Hardwick Drive in a subdivision near Houston Road and Sardis Church Road.

When deputies arrived at the scene, Wynes was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead. A second victim, also a 19-year-old man, was injured in the shooting and was transported to a trauma center in critical condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the suspect(s) involved.
