Josue Garcia Canales, 25, was killed in a traffic collision that occurred over the weekend in Kershaw County, South Carolina. Josue Garcia Canales was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle he was riding in was involved in a two-vehicle crash.

According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, the wreck happened just before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Mt. Pisgah Road and South Carolina Highway 903. Authorities said a 2013 GMC Terrain traveling west on Mt. Pisgah Road collided with a 2025 Chevrolet pickup truck that was heading south on S.C. 903.

Canales was a passenger in the GMC and did not survive the impact. Officials reported that no other injuries were recorded as a result of the crash. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to handle the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
