Three men lost their lives in a senseless shooting in Kissimmee, Florida, while preparing to leave after attending a car show, according to their families. The victims were identified as Robert Kraft, 70, of Holland; his brother Douglas Kraft, 68, of Columbus, Ohio; and James Puchan, 68, of Galena, Ohio.

The families issued a joint statement expressing their grief and shock, saying the loss was sudden and unimaginable. “These three wonderful men did not deserve this. Our families are left with an unexpected, unimaginable loss that cannot be put into words. We ask for privacy, prayers, and respect as we mourn and begin to process this tragedy,” the statement read.

Authorities have arrested 29-year-old Ahmad Bojeh, a neighbor of the rental home where the men were staying, in connection with the killings. Bojeh had an initial court appearance on Sunday, January 18. Law enforcement noted that he had prior criminal encounters, including a 2021 attempted murder charge for firing at a person and vehicles at a Kissimmee gas station, though he was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

According to the families, the men were staying at an Airbnb while visiting for the Mecum Car Show. They had been dealing with rental car issues and were waiting for assistance when, around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, the shooting occurred. The relatives said they are unaware of any previous interaction between the men and the shooter.

“They were then approached and senselessly murdered. This was a random, tragic act,” the statement said. The families expressed gratitude for the support from the community and praised the prompt response of law enforcement and other authorities.
