Fatal Kingman County, Kansas crash death of Margaret Sue Thompson and Marvin Eugene Thompson – Obituary

Two people from Murdock, Kansas, lost their lives Tuesday evening after their car collided head-on with a semi in Kingman County. The victims were identified as Margaret Sue Thompson, 68, and Marvin Eugene Thompson, 72.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast 20th Street and Southeast 110 Avenue, approximately seven miles west of Cheney. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the 2021 Chevrolet Malibu driven by the Thompsons crossed into the eastbound lane, resulting in both vehicles attempting evasive actions before a head-on collision in the westbound lane. Both vehicles ultimately came to rest in the north ditch.

The driver of the semi truck was uninjured. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
