Fatal Taabinga, Queensland car crash death of Aaron Andrews – Obituary
A Queensland father has been identified as one of three people killed in a tragic head-on collision near Kingaroy.
Aaron Andrews, 34, was driving a Dodge when it collided with a Ford ute on the Bunye Highway in Taabinga on Monday night. The crash also claimed the lives of a 44-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl who were in the ute. A 13-year-old girl traveling in the same vehicle survived and was treated by paramedics before being airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Andrews, a father of two and a mechanic who had recently opened his own business, was remembered by friends and the community as a devoted parent and hard-working individual. Family friend John Weiland described him as “a good friend, a father and partner” whose family was his world.
Authorities have said the crash has had devastating effects on the local community. Police Inspector Scott Stahlhut noted the widespread impact in the close-knit area, and South Burnett Mayor Kathy Duff expressed deep sorrow over the loss of local residents.
Investigations into the circumstances of the collision remain ongoing, and authorities have asked anyone with information to come forward.
