William G. Dixon, a 75-year-old Oklahoma City resident, lost his life in a deadly wrong-way collision on I-44 in Blanchard on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

The crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. near mile marker 101. According to preliminary reports, Dixon was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-44 when he collided head-on with another vehicle. Both vehicles overturned and caught fire after the crash.

Dixon succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The other driver involved in the collision sustained unspecified injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
