SAN DIEGO, CA — Tiffany Sanchez, a 32-year-old resident of San Diego, was arrested in San Diego in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 6-year-old boy Saturday afternoon in the Pacific Beach area.

According to officials, Sanchez was taken into custody following an investigation into a crash that occurred when Hudson O’Loughlin of San Diego was riding his bicycle on a sidewalk and crossed an alley off the 4000 block of Ingraham Street. Authorities say the child was struck by a car and the driver fled the scene after the impact.

Paramedics transported Hudson to Rady Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, officials said.

Sanchez was transported to a San Diego County detention facility and is currently facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run causing death, and driving without a license.
