Fatal Wayne County crash death of Andrea Boatwright and Branden Shaw – Obituary

Andrea Boatwright, 32, and Branden Shaw, 32, both from Cincinnati, were tragically killed on January 26, 2026, in a head-on collision on North Indiana 1 in western Wayne County.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:20 p.m. when Tyler Dunn, 29, of Cincinnati, attempted to pass another vehicle and crossed into the path of an oncoming semi-truck driven by 65-year-old James Westfall of Union City.

Both passengers in Dunn’s Kia Optima were pronounced dead at the scene. Westfall’s semi-truck went off the road and into a ditch following the collision. Authorities closed Indiana 1 for several hours while they investigated the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
