Authorities say 62-year-old Richard Miller has died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in north Phoenix, Arizona.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on February 28 near the intersection of 35th Avenue and El Caminito Drive, just north of Northern Avenue. Phoenix police responded to reports of a collision involving a bicyclist and arrived to find Miller suffering from critical injuries.
Emergency crews rushed Miller to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, investigators confirmed that he passed away on Saturday, roughly a week after the crash.
Police said the driver responsible fled the area before officers reached the scene. The case remains under investigation as authorities continue searching for the individual involved.
