Shannon Daly, 66, a resident of Mill Creek in Northern California, was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Palm Desert on March 3. The incident occurred at 7:40 a.m. at the intersection of Portola Avenue and Retreat Circle.
Authorities reported that Daly was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center but succumbed to her injuries later that morning. The driver involved cooperated fully with investigators, and there was no indication that alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
