A passenger in a vehicle lost her life Tuesday morning in Abbeville County, according to local authorities.
The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 34-year-old Codi L. Crawford. Emergency responders were called to Highway 28 around 7:45 a.m., where Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple agencies, including Abbeville County EMS, the Fire Department, the Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol, responded to the incident.
The coroner’s office confirmed that an investigation into the crash is ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to Crawford’s death.
