Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a head-on collision earlier this week in Hockessin. The victim, 65-year-old Frank Keys of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, died following the crash that occurred on March 10.

According to investigators, Keys was driving a Hyundai Sonata north along Route 48 at around 1:30 p.m. when his vehicle drifted across the double yellow centerline. His car then struck a Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling in the opposite direction.

Emergency responders transported Keys to a nearby hospital after the collision. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 79-year-old man from Hockessin, was also taken to a hospital. Police reported that his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The Delaware State Police are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
