Fatal Cass County, Minn. car crash death of Taylor Wahnschaffe – Obituary
Authorities have confirmed the identity of a young woman who lost her life following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening in Cass County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened when an SUV operated by Travis Grossman, 40, of Pillager, was traveling eastbound and attempted to turn left at an intersection. During the maneuver, his vehicle collided with an oncoming westbound vehicle.
Taylor Wahnschaffe, 19, of Richmond, who was riding as a passenger in the westbound vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of that vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Browerville, was transported to a hospital in Brainerd with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Grossman and the two children traveling with him in the SUV were unharmed in the incident. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
