Fatal Birmingham Alabama shooting death of Lamodrick Lovejoy – Obituary

Lamodrick Lovejoy, 54, was killed Wednesday night in a shooting in Birmingham’s South East Lake neighborhood. Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert near 300 78th St. S. and found Lovejoy unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities have not released details on the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no suspects are currently in custody.
